Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director, AI Architect in the United Kingdom to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions built on frontier foundation models. You will work within the AI & Digital Engineering team, guiding engineers and architects while engaging with client stakeholders.

The role blends technical leadership with hands-on architecture, including model orchestration, governance, and creating reusable accelerators.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or solution architecture.

Responsibilities

Architect enterprise-grade AI solutions across frontier foundation models and multi-modal applications.
Lead technical solutioning during pre-sales and discovery, translating client challenges into scalable AI architecture and delivery roadmaps.
Define and enforce responsible AI, governance, and assurance frameworks aligned to regulatory requirements.
Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers and architects, managing relationships with hyperscaler and frontier model partners.
Act as a trusted advisor to client CxOs on AI strategy, architecture, and delivery quality.
