Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking a Web Engineer to build user-centric web apps within a cross-functional squad. You’ll own features end-to-end, contribute to design systems and ensure accessibility, security and performance across the platform.

You'll work with React, JS, HTML5, CSS and modern tooling, collaborating with product and engineering. A strong frontend foundation and a proactive approach to deliver on timelines are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of building and maintaining customer-centric web applications/SPAs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in React and its core principles.
• Solid grasp of Web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6.
• Proficient with browser dev tools and Git.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver product features as part of larger domain-owned epic initiatives.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve existing or prioritized defects.
• Ensure high-quality code through solid testing and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in discussions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new features.
• Develop understanding of product and technology in owned domains.
• Engage in scrum ceremonies and support timely delivery.
