Job summary

Dreams Ltd is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Ecommerce Team based in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire. You will lead front-end engineering and QA, acting as the technology deputy to the Head of Ecommerce and driving a migration and modernisation programme to improve performance and delivery confidence.

You will coach engineers, manage delivery plans, and ensure releases are ready to ship with strong test discipline, while balancing running the business with strategic technical debt reduction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and line-managing a team of front-end engineers and QA colleagues.
• Strong credibility in modern frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript) with performance focus.
• Ability to guide engineering direction, challenge approaches and make pragmatic trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes for FE engineering and QA with predictable throughput and release readiness.
• Establish and maintain engineering ways of working and document major trade-offs.
• Lead FE migration/modernisation end-to-end including strategy, sequencing and governance.
• Coach and develop team members to build a high-performing, accountableteam.
• Balance run-the-business work with roadmap delivery and technical debt reduction.
• Coordinate with Product and stakeholders to shape solutions.
