Frontend Magento Developer

We are a leading global brand dedicated to creating Smart, Helpful, and Bold baby gear since 2007. Our business has continued to grow exponentially, and we are looking for a Frontend Magento Developer (m/f/d) to join our team. The principal objective of the Frontend Magento Developer is to build fast, performant, visually stunning frontend experiences that are brand-centric, while respecting important aspects such as SEO, accessibility, and overall usability.

What you'll do

Frontend Development

  • Write clean, readable code in various programming languages.
  • Become a subject matter expert in modern frontend development practices.
  • Become a subject matter expert for React and/or Vue libraries and ecosystem.
  • Implement and maintain SEO/performant/accessible semantic HTML.
  • Enhance build tools to convert LESS into light, performant CSS files.
  • Build experiences using Static Site Generators.
  • Implement and maintain Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
  • Implement and maintain frontend testing (Unit, Integration, and Functional).

Support & Maintenance

  • Assist with incoming support tickets.
  • Implement new user-facing features across various company websites.
  • Monitor and apply patches to company websites and web applications.
  • Clearly document processes, procedures, and changes.

Tools & Infrastructure

  • Use and improve internal development tools (e.g., environment and deployment tools).
  • Utilize and strategize CDN edge servers.
  • Use AWS technologies such as Amplify, LightSail, S3, Route53, SES, and Lambda.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the brands’ business, objectives, and existing technologies.
  • Provide suggestions for technical solutions to solve problems.
  • Attend daily standup meetings with the Digital Platforms team.
  • Speak knowledgeably on frontend matters during calls with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and/or vendors.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the brands’ business, business objectives and existing technologies
  • Provide suggestions for technical solutions to solve problems.
  • Attend daily standup meetings with the Digital Platforms team.
  • Ability to speak on frontend matters during calls with cross functional teams, stakeholders, and/or vendors

What you'll bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in front-end web development.
  • IT-related bachelor’s degree or certification or relevant years of experience
  • Familiarity with Git version control; GitHub preferred.
  • Understanding of responsive web development
  • Application Familiarity: Magento 2, Adobe Commerce Cloud, AWS, SASS and/or LESS
  • Ability to deliver excellent and consistent customer service skills; ability to demonstrate calm demeanor under pressure, managing internal customers with poise and ease.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills; adept at communicating technical concepts and information both verbal and written to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent planning, project management, and organizational skills to effectively manage numerous e-commerce/web-related activities and resources simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, resolve and escalate risks.
  • Highly collaborative with remarkable team-building approach; able to build and maintain strong rapport with all internal customers.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and quickly acquire proficiency with new skills.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Practical expertise to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance,
  • Consistent thirst for expanding knowledge; able to quickly acquire proficiency with new skills and technologies.
  • Flexible, positive attitude with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs warrant, may include nights and weekends.
  • Domestic/international travel required (less than 10%)
