Job summary

IBM is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join our UI Foundations team. You will build core UI infrastructure using TypeScript and React, contribute to the Design System, and help improve frontend tooling for efficiency.

You will connect client apps to REST and GraphQL APIs, write unit tests with Jest and E2E tests with Playwright, and participate in daily production deployments with feature flags and automated checks.

Qualifications

• Experience building web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency with React and testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright).
• Familiarity with frontend design systems and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core UI infrastructure using TypeScript and React.
• Contribute to Design System and improve frontend tooling for efficiency.
• Monitor, optimize UI performance and participate in frontend architecture decisions.
• Connect client apps to REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Write unit tests with Jest and end-to-end tests with Playwright; support daily deployments.
