Job summary

Darktrace in Cambridge is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to build dynamic UI with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, collaborating with backend engineers, UX designers and product managers. You will develop reusable components, ensure accessibility, and focus on performance and scalability across devices.

You should have experience with React ecosystems, Redux, TanStack Query, CSS, and Git; a portfolio or public repo is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong CSS skills.
• Experience with React and production-grade UI.
• Familiarity with Redux and TanStack Query.
• Ability to translate designs from Figma.
• Understanding of web application security fundamentals.
• Portfolio or public GitHub with previous work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reusable UI components using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive UX.
• Optimize front-end performance for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure data consistency.
• Participate in design discussions and provide technical input to improve usability.
• Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to UI development best practices.
