Job summary

OctaiPipe is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join the ACE team and help build the user-facing applications at the heart of the ACE product. You will design and implement interfaces that translate complex sensor, time-series and AI-generated data into intuitive, reliable experiences.

Working primarily with React and TypeScript, you will own frontend features end-to-end—from design through testing and deployment—collaborating with Product, Design and Backend teams to deliver scalable,

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing production applications with React and TypeScript, preferably with Next.js.
• Excellent knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of React fundamentals, component architecture, hooks, state management and modern frontend patterns.
• Experience designing and building reusable, maintainable component systems.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous data fetching, caching and state management.
• Experience building responsive, accessible and performant web applications.
• A strong approach to frontend testing, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with modern frontend build, package management and development tooling.
• Strong Git/GitHub version control practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade frontend applications using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Build intuitive interfaces that make complex data easy to understand and act upon.
• Develop dashboards, data visualisations, workflows and monitoring experiences for ACE across sites.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Applied Science and backend engineers to turn requirements into robust frontend solutions.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and improvement.
• Integrate frontend apps with REST APIs and backend services with proper authentication and state handling.
• Write clean, well-tested code focused on performance and usability.
• Contribute to code reviews and frontend architecture discussions.
• Diagnose and resolve product/customer issues, including deployment challenges.
• Ensure scalable frontend architecture and design system consistency.
