Job summary

FanDuel is hiring a Software Engineer – Frontend (React / React Native) in Edinburgh to help advance the Sportsbook platform. You will work on foundational engineering, improving frameworks, tooling, and performance to enable fast, reliable product experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration, curiosity, and ongoing skill development, with exposure to native Android or iOS a plus and a focus on mobile performance and best practices.

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience building mobile applications.
Strong practical experience with React Native OR React.
Interest in performance optimization, tooling, and frameworks.
Familiarity with mobile app development best practices and testing approaches.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the core React Native codebase underpinning FanDuel's Sportsbook app.
Improve app launch performance and overall performance.
Build and maintain frameworks, tooling, and shared components for feature teams.
Collaborate with engineers across domains to solve cross-cutting technical challenges.
Implement pragmatic solutions balancing performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Join on-call rotations and share out-of-hours support as part of incident response.
