Job summary

Deep Sea Electronics Ltd is seeking a mid‑level Frontend Engineer to join the Cloud Engineering team. You will design, develop and test the WebNet dashboard for the DSE IoT platform using React, TypeScript and Next.js, delivering a modern, accessible frontend architecture.

You will work on real‑time telemetry, API integrations and a component library, with a strong focus on quality, testing and performance in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of React and TypeScript, including hooks and state management.
• Commercial or substantial project experience with Next.js (App Router preferred).
• Solid HTML, CSS and responsive layout skills with modern styling approaches.
• Experience writing automated tests for frontend code (unit, component and E2E).
• Experience consuming REST/JSON APIs from a frontend application.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Qualification or Equivalent Experience in Software Engineering or Web Development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the DSEWebNet dashboard using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Apply modern Next.js patterns including App Router, SSR and streaming.
• Develop reusable UI components and contribute to a design system.
• Implement data visualisation for live telemetry (charts, maps, tables).
• Integrate with REST/JSON APIs and real-time WebSocket feeds.
• Manage client/server state with tools like TanStack Query.
• Implement forms with schema-based validation (React Hook Form + Zod).
• Collaborate with backend engineers on contracts, typing and integration.
