Job summary

Zopa is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our Web Engineering team in London. You will build modern web experiences powering acquisition, servicing and internal tools using Next.js, React, TypeScript and GraphQL.

You’ll work with product, design and backend colleagues to create accessible, high-performing user experiences, own features end-to-end and continually improve performance and developer experience. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Experience building modern web apps with React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance and accessibility.
• Experience collaborating with PMs, designers and engineers to ship features.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code and fast iteration.
• Familiar with testing, Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript and GraphQL across products.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing and Backend teams for strong UX.
• Improve reusable components, libraries and frontend platform practices.
• Optimize performance, reliability and accessibility with data and experiments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD and observability to maintain standards.
• Own features end-to-end and drive improvements in engineering processes.
