Job summary

_nology is seeking a Frontend Developer to build accessible, high-quality web applications across Manchester and other cities on a hybrid basis. The role emphasizes reusable components, modern templating with Nunjucks/Mustache, and rigorous testing practices.

You will work with GDS styling, Playwright with TypeScript, and modern CI/CD tools in a collaborative Scrum/Kanban delivery environment, contributing to code reviews and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience building accessible web apps.
• Strong frontend testing and TDD practices.
• Experience with modern frameworks and pipelines.
• Familiarity with GDS components and styling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive frontend web applications.
• Develop reusable frontend components and templates using Nunjucks / Mustache.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following TDD and unit-testing practices.
• Develop and test services to ensure they meet web accessibility requirements.
• Work with GDS components and styling where applicable.
• Support automated build, test and deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins or GitHub.
• Work with containerised applications using Docker.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and wider delivery teams in Scrum / Kanban environments.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement.
• Experience with GDS (Government Digital Service) components and styling
• Strong Playwright with TypeScript experience
