Job summary

System1 Group is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer in the UK to join the empowered product team building our AI-powered platform. You will shape frontend architecture, collaborate with product, design and engineering, and deliver fast, reliable interfaces for video upload, analytics and AI agents.

You will craft data-rich experiences in TypeScript and React, implement accessible interfaces, and drive testing and CI/CD to production.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building web applications in TypeScript with React.
• Experience building data-rich interfaces with dashboards and analytics.
• Experience building conversational or agentic interfaces with AI models.
• Experience building against headless, API-first backends, consuming generated clients.
• Testing-first mindset with automated testing and fully automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with designers in iterative cycles and contributing to a component library or design system.
• Daily use of Claude Code to build skills, subagents and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner as a member of an empowered product team, sharing accountability for outcomes.
• Define frontend architecture, patterns and conventions for our AI platform as the first frontend engineer.
• Build the platform’s web application in TypeScript and React for data-heavy experiences.
• Bring analytics to life through data visualisation and dashboards.
• Build agentic and conversational interfaces, including streaming AI responses.
• Create scalable experiences for video upload, processing and review.
• Work API-first against a headless backend and shape API contracts.
• Collaborate with Product Designer to build a component library and design system.
• Put automated testing at the heart of delivery with a CI/CD pipeline.
• Engineer with Claude Code day-to-day, building skills and workflows.
