Job Summary
40 hours - 5/7 shifts per week (includes early/late and weekend shifts)
The Reception Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel reception, ensuring smooth guest check-in and check-out, excellent customer service, and effective team supervision. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service & Experience
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handle guest complaints, inquiries, and special requests professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by ensuring service standards are consistently met.
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support reception staff during shifts.
- Train, motivate, and coach team members to deliver excellent service.
- Manage shift scheduling, daily task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Operational Duties
- Oversee reservations, room allocations, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance.
- Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and financial transactions.
- Prepare shift handovers, reports, and maintain updated records.
- Communication & Coordination
- Act as the communication link between reception, management, and other departments.
- Support the Front Office Manager in implementing new procedures and service initiatives.
- Ensure company policies, safety standards, and grooming guidelines are adhered to.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a hotel front office or reception role (supervisory experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
