Your role

We’re seeking a Risk Manager to:

  1. Manage counterpart and liquidity exposures for the EMEA Prime Brokerage client base, ensuring clients remain within risk appetite.
  2. Handle distressed client situations, liaising with clients, Credit Risk Control, Senior Management, and other stakeholders to minimize potential losses.
  3. Continuously monitor client exposures, market events, and industry developments.
  4. Assess new client portfolios and negotiate legal and margin terms.
  5. Review client profitability, understanding key drivers such as LRD and RWA.
  6. Monitor trading limits and intraday activity/alerts.
  7. Develop new margin and risk models.
  8. Provide transparent risk reports to management and internal stakeholders.

Your team

You will be part of the Financing Pricing and Risk Management team in London, collaborating across Global Markets, which includes risk analysis, structuring, and pricing solutions in various business areas. The team is global, with members in Zurich, New York, and Hong Kong, focusing on developing the first-line team with an emphasis on Equity Prime Brokerage activities.

Your expertise
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial markets risk management, trading, or related roles.
  • Broad product knowledge of derivatives and risk quantification skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management models like stress testing and VaR.
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude, and ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information.
  • IT skills with coding experience in Python, VBA, SQL, or C++.
  • Preferred: interests in market design, game theory, or financial regulation.
  • Degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
