Front Office Manager - Four Points by Sheraton, Edinburgh Haymarket

YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  1. Assist management in developing and communicating departmental strategies and goals.
  2. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  3. Lead and oversee all aspects of the Front Office, including guest registration, concierge services, business centre, telephone services, and reservations, to deliver a unique guest experience that embodies the brand.
  4. Ensure your team provides hospitable service in line with operating and brand standards.
  5. Motivate your team, set clear goals, provide training, and work with the Operations Manager to establish and achieve personal development objectives.
  6. Maximize room sales by ensuring your team is aware of hotel availability and upselling opportunities.
  7. Develop your team to anticipate and act upon guest needs, delivering responsive service that enhances guest satisfaction.
  8. Implement Four Points by Sheraton values in daily operations.
  9. Support other departments and ensure smooth hotel operations from a guest perspective, focusing on guest services, reception, and breakfast/evening areas.
  10. Maintain a full understanding of all relevant systems, such as MARSHA, Opera, and Marriott’s Bonvoy.
  11. Display proactive and innovative approaches to skills development and standards improvement within your team.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  1. 1-2 years of management experience in an internationally recognized branded hotel.
  2. Ability to analyze performance metrics.
  3. Experience in setting and managing budgets for optimal returns.
  4. A strong background in Front Office operations.
  5. Good working knowledge of Opera PMS; familiarity with MARSHA is preferred.
  6. Previous experience working within a Marriott Brand is desirable.
