The Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to create custom applications and enhance off-the-shelf solutions for our hedge fund business. The role involves close collaboration with the front office to automate workflows related to research, portfolio management, operations, and trading. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills and an eagerness to learn about the financial industry and our firm's business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy custom applications in collaboration with business units; enhance existing off-the-shelf applications as needed.
• Develop technical solutions to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Create operational and support procedures for application maintenance.
• Develop scripts to automate operational tasks and system maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to IT development standards and processes.
• Support scheduled contingency tests and system upgrades.
• Assist with patching and updates, assessing their impact on applications.
• Work directly with end users and support staff to resolve issues.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in C# programming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience with persistent or real-time messaging systems.
• Experience working with global teams to deliver systems aligned with firm-wide standards.
