About the role: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Front of House Training Lead to take charge of the operations in our dynamic student-run restaurant. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to mentor and guide students in all facets of front-of-house service, ensuring that they deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise all hospitality operations, including restaurant management, barista training, and overall guest services.
  2. Ensure compliance with operational standards such as allergy awareness, food safety regulations, time management, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  3. Design and implement an engaging, industry-aligned training programme for students.
  4. Foster a warm, safe, and inclusive atmosphere for both staff and students.
  5. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom and training kitchens.

Hours: 18.5hrs p/w - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Contract: Term Time, FTC to July 2025

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 or above qualification in hospitality or a related field.
  • Barista certification or extensive experience in coffee preparation
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programmes.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in using various communication platforms for training purposes.
