Job description

We are a bold, award-winning business that prides itself on empowering our teams with autonomy to operate premium, fun businesses that ‘wow’ our customers within an industry-leading environment. We run friendly, welcoming, and positive pubs, restaurants, and hotels with high standards, always striving to be the best we can be.

We are looking for a front of house team member to join our family. This role involves delivering excellent bar and waiting hospitality to our customers.

The Castle Inn is a traditional Dorset pub near Lulworth Cove, dating back to the 16th century. Immaculately restored, it’s the perfect base for exploring Dorset’s Jurassic coastline and the Isle of Purbeck countryside.

Under its thatched roof, it features a charming bar, a relaxed restaurant, and 12 boutique bedrooms. Outside, there’s a large paved courtyard and terraced garden with stunning views. Kids and dogs are very welcome.

Our laid-back atmosphere, all-day food offering, and friendly service make it a home from home, where families can relax, unwind, and explore this unique part of Dorset.

What’s in it for you?

  • The chance to work for an award-winning business that has won the Best Food Offer (2019 & 2020) and Best Managed Pub Company (2021) at The National Publican Awards.
  • Access to Liberation Life, a platform offering cash-back with major retailers, discounts on holidays, groceries, gifts, and more.
  • The opportunity to work in a diverse, eclectic company and gain experience across various businesses and food offers. We value your ideas!
  • A competitive hourly rate plus an equal share of tips.
  • Industry-leading training and development through our ‘Pillars of Progression’ programme.
  • Support and coaching from our talented managers.
  • Opportunity to work with locally sourced food and drink, including our award-winning beer.
  • Tools and investments in our properties to help you do your best.
  • Team events, parties, training courses, and industry rewards, including 50% off food on shift.
  • A caring business that supports mental health through the Burnt Chef Project and offers a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program.
