Front of House/Events Assistant

We're looking for a Front of House/Events Assistant for Impact Arts/The Boardwalk. Staff are members of the venue team assisting and supporting the team to give the best experience to all venue users.

Salary: £12.25 per hour (increasing to £12.60 in April 2025)

Based at: The Boardwalk, 105 Brunswick Street, Glasgow, G1 1TF

Reporting to: Events Manager

Duration of contract: Flexible roles available
Working Hours: The Boardwalk can be open Monday - Sunday 8am to 10pm.
Please note hours are offered on an as needed basis and the number of shifts available will vary depending upon the operational needs of the venue. Shifts are a minimum of 4 hours. On average the venue needs 60 shifts of varying length covered per month by the FOH/events venue team.

Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Previous experience in a customer front facing role is essential; however, training will be provided for all relevant duties.
  2. Is a role model for professionalism.
  3. Continually looks for opportunities to improve current working practices and levels of service.
  4. Makes optimum use of organisational resources.
  5. Seeks feedback from colleagues and customers and responds positively.
  6. Generates creative approaches and ideas to benefit the team and organisation.
  7. Focuses on solutions rather than problems.
  8. Continually updates skills and knowledge.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  1. A commitment to customer service.
  2. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  3. A strong team player.
  4. Experience of working in Front of House or a customer service/front facing role.
Other Essentials:
  1. Subject to Disclosure Scotland check.
  2. Closing date: Tuesday 7th January 2025 at 9am (strict deadline).
  3. Expected Start Date: January 2025.
  4. Interview Dates: Tuesday 14th January 2025.
