Front End Web Developer 3 month contract

The Job:

We are seeking a Front End Web Developer on a 3-month contract. Working in a friendly team, you will be responsible for designing and developing their next flagship products, as well as maintaining their existing software stack.

As a Web Developer, you will be proactive in the architecture, design, and development of current and future products, focusing on front-end development. You will help shape and implement technical processes, collaborate with the team, and translate functional and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable code for mobile and web applications on cloud infrastructure. Your role will include designing user interfaces, database models, and architectures, as well as peer reviewing code and promoting best practices.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Developer, with skills including:

• Producing standards-compliant, performant, and accessible websites
• Proficiency in web development principles, methodologies, architectural patterns, and design patterns
• Integration with external systems via APIs using XML/JSON
• Effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines

Additional desirable skills include:

• SOLID Principles / Object-Oriented Analysis / Object-Oriented Design
• REST API
• SQL (MySQL)
• Frameworks such as Angular and/or React
• Git and GitHub
• Jira

The Location:

Bristol, South, with Car Parking and hybrid working (2 days per week at home)
