We're looking for a frontend software engineer who thinks in components and cares deeply about creating reusable, scalable UI systems.

You’ll work closely with design and backend teams to build high-quality, accessible user interfaces using modern frontend tools.

As a Front End Software Engineer at SMG, this is what you will do:

1. Build and maintain frontend applications using React and Next.js
2. Develop and grow a shared component library using Storybook and Tailwind CSS
3. Apply component-driven development practices to ensure consistency and reusability
4. Prioritize accessibility and performance in everything you build
5. Collaborate with designers and engineers to turn ideas into polished, production ready interfaces
6. Work with APIs to bring dynamic data into the frontend
7. Occasionally interact with SQL databases or backend services

You are a perfect match for the role if you have:

1. Solid experience building React applications
2. Familiarity with Next.js or similar meta-frameworks
3. Strong understanding of Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling
4. Experience creating and maintaining design systems or component libraries
5. A component-first mindset and a keen eye for detail and reusability
6. Awareness of accessibility standards and inclusive design
7. Bonus: experience with SQL, REST/GraphQL APIs, or other backend integration work
8. Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team
9. Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools for automating workflows
10. Basic understanding of Angular applications
11. Ability to read and understand .NET code, including C# and ASP.NET
