Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Mission Statement: To grow business in Udaipur for the Heavy Industries Market (Metal/MMH/Rubber/Cement/Chemical, etc.) to meet order targets and ensure sustainable, profitable growth by planning, overseeing implementation, and supporting the FES team in market development within company guidelines. Work model: on-site.

This role belongs to the Motion Business for Drive products division, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Budget, Planning, and Execution: Responsible for Drive Product business in Heavy Industry segment in Udaipur. Evaluate growth opportunities and decide on appropriate activities aligned with the strategy. Achieve sales targets in the Heavy Industry segment with the Sales team.
  2. Define target markets, segments, applications, and optimize sales channels. Prepare business plans for the cluster to achieve order targets and build the sales team.
  3. Regular planning activities including forecasts, meetings, and presentations.
  4. Presales techno-commercial support to FES & channel partners.
  5. Market Development: Focus on value proposition and marketing activities. Work closely with consultants and end users, sharing success stories. Ensure portfolio is fully utilized, properly positioned, and communicated to sales & channels.
  6. Ownership: Fully commit to the business, ensuring gross margins are met. Coordinate with the service team for warranty and after-sales support as needed.
  7. Management Information System (MIS): Regularly review activities and order status to ensure profitability. Prepare monthly MIS reports for stakeholders.
  8. Projects & Key Account Management: Track key projects and secure wins directly or with industry-focused partners. Develop business plans for key accounts and manage them.

Qualifications for the role

  • BE/BTech with more than 5 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of VFD Drives and Heavy Industry markets such as Metal, MMH, Rubber, Cement, and Chemical sectors
  • Aggressive, result-oriented, with segment-specific sales skills
  • Good communication and sales skills
  • Milestones & Objectives include systematic business growth following pricing and channel policies, support for CP/OEM/SI/EU, quarterly target achievement, and meeting 30-35 customers per month
