Job summary

Ball Corporation in Milton Keynes is seeking a Front End Line Engineer to manage production equipment, ensure H&S compliance and drive line efficiency during 12-hour shifts.

The role requires fault finding, maintenance tasks, teamwork and effective handovers; candidates should have manufacturing FMCG experience and a track record of delivering targets.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety checks and safe practices.
• Complete daily and monthly preventive maintenance.
• React to equipment breakdowns.
• Identify faults and solve problems.
• Work within a team; assist and guide mechanics when needed.
• Prioritize tasks to maximise output.
• Communicate with the Team Leader and provide clear handovers.
• Ensure quality checks and startup sheets are completed.

Position overview:

To meet production targets, by managing the production equipment, adhering to H&S requirements, meeting PM compliance, improving and securing line efficiency, fault finding and responsible for monthly and weekly maintenance tasks.

This role involves shift work, 12-hour shifts, involving days, nights and weekend working.

Key responsibilities included:

• Health and safety checks, work in a safe manner following the company guidelines
• Completion of daily and monthly PM’s
• React to breakdowns
• Problem solving and identifying faults
• Work within a team, building and sharing knowledge, lead and help the mechanics when needed
• Priorities work to maximise output
• Communicate with your Team Leader, and communicate good and effective hand overs
• Ensure all Quality checks and start up sheets are complete
