Smarkets is hiring a Front-End Engineer to design and maintain user-facing interfaces using Next.js, React, and React Native. You will collaborate with Product, Design and other engineers to deliver responsive, high-performance web and mobile experiences aligned with the product roadmap.

The role emphasizes pixel-perfect implementation, Figma-driven workflows, and strong frontend performance expertise. This is a hybrid position with a mix of office and remote work in the UK.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering with a frontend focus.
• Strong TypeScript and React proficiency.
• Experience collaborating with Designers and PMs.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of modern front-end performance techniques.
• Experience with design-to-code workflows and Figma.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex web/mobile interfaces using React/React Native.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to scope projects.
• Translate designs from Figma into pixel-perfect UI.
• Implement monitoring and ensure performance stability of apps.
• Write tests, review code, and improve CI/CD processes.
• Advocate for code quality and scalable frontend architecture.
