Comand AI is seeking a front-end specialist to own delivery on Prevail, our operational planning platform, delivering fast, dependable user experiences for real-world geospatial workloads.

You will work with product design and engineering to translate operational needs into production-ready interfaces, raising the front-end quality bar across the team and shaping reusable patterns as the surface area grows. London-based with equity opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must have strong production experience with React and TypeScript, with front-end engineering as a core craft.
• Track record of owning complex interfaces from problem definition through release and iteration.
• Strong product and design judgement to spot hierarchy, interactions, and states.
• Pragmatism and low ego in improving rough work without endless debates.
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities while keeping ship quality.
• EU or UK citizenship is required due to defence contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own front-end delivery on Prevail, the operational planning platform, from design to production.
• Build interfaces for geospatial problems: interactive maps, multiple data layers, large datasets, fast workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design early to turn needs into clear flows and production-ready experiences.
• Raise the front-end quality bar by reviewing and improving work across engineers with different specialties.
• Make trade-offs between speed and durability when demos or deployments have tight deadlines.
• Help create reusable patterns to scale the product as the team grows.
