Job summary

Focus Group is mid-way through a full website rebuild and is seeking a Front-End Developer who genuinely cares about the details. You'll help build the design system and component library from the ground up, working in Tailwind CSS with real creative input alongside our designers.

We're looking for someone with strong front-end experience, an eye for UX/UI, and a practical approach to performance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial front-end experience with real UX/UI sensibility.

• Tailwind CSS experience preferred; build efficiently with minimal custom CSS.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of UX/UI principles: layout, accessibility (WCAG), responsive and interaction design.
• Experience turning Figma designs into pixel-perfect front-end code.
• Understanding of front-end performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible front-end templates and components in Statamic CMS (Antlers/Blade templating).
• Turn Figma designs into production-ready Tailwind CSS.
• Build and own a design system and component library for site consistency.
• Optimize performance: page speed, Core Web Vitals, image and asset optimization.
• Attention to detail in spacing, typography, interaction states, animations.
• Create flexible, editor-friendly page blocks for content and marketing teams.
• Support ongoing site work: navigation, landing pages, campaign microsites.
• Keep code clean, documented, and version-controlled in Git.

We're mid-way through a full website rebuild, and we need a Front-End Developer who genuinely cares about the details. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll be helping to build the design system and component library from the ground up, Working in Tailwind CSS with real creative input alongside our designers, not just implementing someone else's spec line by line.

What you'll be doing

• Building and maintaining responsive, accessible front-end templates and components in Statamic CMS (Antlers/Blade templating)

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial front-end experience, with a track record that shows real UX/UI sensibility — not just code that works, but interfaces that feel right
• Experince with Tailwind CSS preffered — you build efficiently and consistently without reaching for custom CSS out of habit
• Solid HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
• A genuine grasp of UX/UI principles: layout, hierarchy, accessibility (WCAG), responsive and interaction design
• Experience turning Figma designs into pixel-accurate front-end code
• Understanding of front-end performance and Core Web Vitals
• Comfortable with Git and collaborative version control workflows
