The Front-End developer will manage the implementation of BAU change, and continuous enhancement items from our website backlog.

Alongside this, the role will also take a hands-on approach and support with small change and wider project pieces to ensure deadlines and targets are met.

You will have a collaborative approach to developing new products, and updating existing ones, together with the wider UX / front-end / agile teams.

You always have iD’s customers at the heart of your work and you will develop any product you deliver for all viewports, always.

You are eager to continuously learn new skills and techniques and are never afraid to challenge, or support, concepts/designs to ensure a better all-round user experience outcome.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Architecting and implementing complex web interfaces
  • Collaborating with UX/UI designers and back-end developers
  • Ensuring scalability and performance
  • Evaluating and adopting emerging front-end technologies
  • Conducting code reviews and maintaining code quality
  • Advocating for web accessibility and best practices
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Contributing to the development of coding standards
  • Continuously improving development processes
  • Present your work, findings and updates to the wider team
  • Work with product owner(s) to manage pipelines
  • Proactively seek out new ideas, input and feedback
  • Write well-structured code that is easy to maintain and understand
  • Ensure code is built to all provided viewports and is responsive

Required Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Highly proficient in Figma and Jira
  • Experience in developing websites through a CMS
  • Familiar with best practices for usability, conversion rate optimisation and accessibility standards
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask and deliver to set KPIs
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
