FRONT-END DEVELOPER - OUTSIDE IR35 - 6 MONTHS

Loriens Leading Public Sector client is seeking a highly experienced Front-End Developer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.

This position offers hybrid working in Glasgow-based offices.

* Technology knowledge - ideally, candidates should have experience in as many of the following as possible:

• Commercial experience with React, Typescript, NodeJS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, React Testing Library
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), including build and package management

* General knowledge - experience in most or all of the following practices and design patterns:

• Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery principles
• Experience with microservice design patterns

* Bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders:

• Translate technical concepts across infrastructure, delivery, and service management for clarity
• Represent technical and development teams and facilitate relationships with stakeholders
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, including non-technical staff

* Additional skills and experience:

• Building accessible websites in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Knowledge of multiple JS frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
• Java 8+ commercial experience (advantageous)
• Designing and developing RESTful microservices
• Experience with MySQL-compatible databases (MySQL, RDS, Aurora, MariaDB)
• Knowledge or experience with AWS and related tooling
• Experience with Docker, Bash, or Shell scripting
