The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, compassion, and a genuine love for seniors. Responsibilities include managing calls, greeting visitors, and collaborating with staff to ensure safety. Availability from 4:00pm to Midnight, five days a week is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Willing to undergo a background check, including drug screening and physical.

Responsibilities

Job description

Middlewoods of Farmington, a senior living community committed to its mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a Full-time 40 hours Front desk receptionist to work in our Farmington, CT community. The administration assistant would be responsible for providing coverage for the reception desk while on duty, answering the phone, taking messages, and referring matters to the appropriate administrative person. The position offers assistance, notifies police or emergency medical services when requested, and operates from Midnight to 8:00am five days a week.

Requirements include:
  • Experience working with seniors preferred

  • A genuine love and respect for seniors
  • Screens all incoming calls and greets community visitors to ensure accurate and efficient communication, presenting the community positively
  • Performs clerical duties
  • Acts as a central source of information for residents, assisting with problem solving and directing them to appropriate departments or locations
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the entire community
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Director and other managers
  • Demonstrates dependability in job performance
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of United Methodist Homes
  • Collaborates with staff to maintain safety and security

  • Some weekend and holiday availability required
