Job Description:

Middlewoods of Farmington, a senior living community committed to its mission of providing relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a Full-time 40 hours Front desk receptionist to work in our Farmington, CT community. The administrative assistant would be responsible for providing coverage for the reception desk while on duty, answering the phone, taking messages, and referring matters to the appropriate administrative person. The shift is from Midnight to 8:00am five days a week. Requirements include:

  • Experience working with seniors (preferred)
  • Compassion, creativity, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A genuine love and respect for seniors
  • Screens all incoming calls and greets community visitors to ensure accurate and efficient communication, presenting the community positively
  • Performs clerical duties
  • Acts as a central source of information for residents: assists with problem solving and directs to appropriate departments
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the community
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Director and managers
  • Demonstrates dependability in job performance
  • Aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Values of United Methodist Homes
  • Collaborates with staff to maintain safety and security
  • Must speak, read, and write English
  • Willing to undergo background checks, including drug screening and physical
  • Some weekend and holiday availability required
  • Notifies police or emergency services when needed
  • Available Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to Midnight, five days a week
