Job summary

Penrose Health in Greater London is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first face patients see when they arrive at Penrose Surgery. This hands-on, front-of-house role involves greeting patients, checking them in for their appointment, and taking vital signs to help prepare them for the clinician.

No clinical background is required and full training is provided. You’ll stay calm under pressure, use empathy to reassure patients, and help maintain accurate information and smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Front-of-house role greeting patients and visitors

• Able to move between entrance, waiting area and observation space
• Ability to take and record vitals and observations accurately

Responsibilities

• Stand at the front to greet patients as they arrive
• Check patients in for their appointments face-to-face
• Take and record patient vitals ahead of consultations
• Prepare patients with accurate information for clinicians
• Support safe, smooth patient flow throughout the practice
• Use empathy to support anxious or unwell patients
• Keep waiting and observation areas clean and welcoming
• Escalate urgent concerns to the clinical team
