Role Overview
As a Service Designer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team leading the strategic design, prototyping, and building of public services. You will collaboratively develop user-centred, equitable, sustainable, and accessible services, focusing on population-scale problems and designing services at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve public services, test and iterate policies like digital services, advocate for user needs, work in agile multidisciplinary teams, promote justice, equity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability, support organizational and policy design, use evidence to inform decisions, analyze service failures, engage stakeholders through workshops and co-design methods, visualize and prototype ideas, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the design community.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have experience with the Public Sector and GDS standards, confidence leading sessions with senior clients, a passion for creating supportive environments, and the ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. Residing continuously in the UK for the last 5 years is required.
