Job summary

Pembroke Medical Group in Paignton is seeking a Salaried GP to join a friendly, supportive team. You will manage a varied caseload in primary care, including surgeries, telephone queries and home visits, while maintaining high standards of care for registered and temporary patients.

The role involves autonomous clinical decision making, adherence to practice protocols, data collection for audits and robust prescribing within the formulary.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP
• MRCGP
• CCT/UK training
• GMC Registration
• Eligibility to practice in the UK
• Experience with QOF and clinical audit
• Minimum 2 years as a salaried GP
• Experience with medicines management
• Familiar with GMS contract and CPD requirements
• Strong IT skills and good communication

Responsibilities

• Core GP duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and home visits
• Prescribing within formulary and managing repeat prescriptions
• Record keeping to agreed standards and data for audit
• Undertake civil duties like paperwork, correspondence and patient queries
• Clinical decision making for undifferentiated problems and disease management
• Carry out disease screening and adherence to practice protocols
• Contribute to team-based care and be a supportive Duty Doctor
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and professional accountability
