Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ homes across the UK. This role focuses on more than driving, delivering great service with a smile and ensuring orders arrive in perfect condition.

Shifts start early mornings and include weekends, with a guaranteed minimum hours per week. You’ll work independently much of the day, supported by managers at base when needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months.
• No more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs on road and delivery routes.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and perform all checks to ensure it’s roadworthy and reliable.
• Explain order changes or substitutions to customers in a friendly way and process refunds where needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot with warm, doorstep service.
