Job summary

McKeevers Chemists in Kircubbin is looking for a friendly Counter Sales Assistant on a fixed-term basis (9-12 months), full-time 40 hours per week. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, providing outstanding service and helping shoppers find products while supporting daily shop operations.

Key duties include replenishing stock, maintaining attractive displays, processing transactions accurately and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure a welcoming, well-organised store

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A friendly, approachable and professional manner.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work confidently as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and purchases.
• Operate the till and process transactions accurately.
• Replenish stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked and well presented.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming shop environment.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages where appropriate.
• Assist with merchandising and promotional displays.
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
