Job summary

Allied Pharmacy in Liphook is looking for a Counter Assistant to join our welcoming team and be the first point of contact for customers. You will help customers with over‑the‑counter products, manage till transactions, and support daily pharmacy operations with confidentiality and care.

We value friendly communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn as part of a close-knit team. Previous retail experience is helpful but not essential, and MCA training could be pursued if needed.

Qualifications

• A warm, helpful manner and genuine interest in customer care.
• Good communication skills and the ability to listen with empathy.
• Reliable, organised approach and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, though not essential.
• Willingness to complete MCA training if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional service at the counter
• Advise on and sell over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, within training
• Handle transactions accurately and manage the till
• Keep the shop floor clean, tidy and well-stocked
• Support the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks and prescription handovers
• Maintain confidentiality and follow pharmacy procedures at all times
