Job summary

A leading company in the UK is seeking an experienced Friction Testing Inspector to conduct inspection activities for esteemed clients. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering background along with inspection experience, and be capable of generating detailed reports. This short-term contract offers flexibility to freelancers and inspectors' agencies from June to July 2025.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as Mechanical Inspector.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports.
• Experience with vendor inspections required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities on behalf of clients.
• Conduct daily/weekly inspections and prepare reports.
• Invoice for services as a freelancer or agency.

RINA is looking for experienced Friction Testing Inspector to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in the UK.

Requested:

• Mechanical inspector with friction testing experience
• Mechanically inclined inspector or engineer. Understanding or experience with offshore pipelay is a plus
• Mechanical Degree ( Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering or graduate from high school in relevant branches) / certificates such as NDT, welding, coating, etc.
• Experience as Mechanical Inspector (min. 3 years); Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. Experience may cover daily inspections or short term/long term project inspections on behalf of clients or third party inspections;
• Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports;
• Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients in case of need;
• Being a freelancer inspector or part of inspectors agency/society, the inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service;
