About the role

We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This exciting role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding your local market, and providing excellent service.

This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery without financial risk. We seek someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed.

You will be responsible for

• Maintaining high standards in all areas, including stock management, food safety procedures, record-keeping, meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop a business plan to grow sales and profitability.
• Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful assistance with a friendly attitude.
• Managing stock, including ordering, stocktaking, and controlling waste.
• Leading and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
• Cutting meat to order and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Coordinating deliveries and order pickups.
