Job description

My client is seeking a Fish Cutter/Fresh Fish Production Staff in VAUXHALL.

The Fish Cutter/Blockman will report to the Night Supervisor, Production Manager, Operations Director, Depot Manager, or Head of the relevant department (whichever position is responsible for the department and shift at the time).

Job Overview

Responsible for preparing and packing products in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and safety are always maintained through pride in workmanship.

Assist in duties within the relevant department during their shift, including stock rotation, cleaning, and training.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Attend shift at the contracted start time, adhering to all health and safety, due diligence, and procedures; report issues to the line manager.
  • Carry out knife checks at the start of each shift.
  • Prepare and pack customer orders, ensuring traceability logs are maintained as per company procedures.
  • Prepare stock according to stock requirements.
  • Assist in picking and packing orders to help with dispatch times and personal development.
  • Support in training and developing team members when required.
  • Assist with cleaning duties.
  • At the end of the shift, perform knife checks, and clean and sanitise work areas, uniforms, and tools.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes if required.
  • Manage or record safety and due diligence controls as nominated.

Keep training requirements up to date as per company standards.

This is a temp-to-perm, full-time role for long-term employment.
