Job summary

Morrisons in Hoddesdon is looking for a bakery assistant to join our fresh counter team. You will deliver friendly service, bake a range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruit products to spec, and keep displays appealing and well-stocked.

You will also handle bakery equipment safely, support store colleagues, and uphold health and safety standards on shift. Previous bakery or fast-paced food experience is valued, and some roles require being over 18.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail bakery or fast-paced food environment.
• Care about quality fresh food.
• Must be over school-leaver age; some roles require over 18.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service highlighting fresh bakery products.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely and maintain high health and safety standards.
