Job summary

Market Street is looking for a hands-on Bakery Assistant to join our in-store team. You’ll deliver friendly customer service, bake a variety of breads and pastries to spec, and keep vibrant displays well stocked throughout trading hours.

As part of a fast-paced fresh counter, you’ll operate bakery equipment safely and help across other counters when needed, with a focus on quality and presentation. 18+ eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
