The Quality First Education Trust is seeking a Teacher of French to join us in September 2025.

You will deliver specialist modern foreign language (MFL) provision, teaching French to children in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6) at our Primary School. All classes have a French lesson every week.

We are open to applicants seeking part-time hours.

You will:

  • Be an excellent teacher, using a range of strategies to meet children’s needs.
  • Be fluent in French and English, with great subject knowledge and an understanding of the wider Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Set targets for children's learning, assess, record, and report on their achievements, and use this information to inform your planning and teaching.
  • Develop, adapt, and enhance our French curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching resources to ensure they are of the highest quality.
  • Come up with exciting ideas to ensure our French learning is engaging, ambitious, relevant, and nurturing.

You will get the chance to really think about what makes for great teaching. You will also become a better teacher— even if you think you are an ‘old hand’! There is the possibility of teaching Year 7 through Year 11. Our behaviour systems are so consistently well-managed that, instead of worrying about low-level disruption, you are able to try out what works best for the pupils you are teaching. The relationships you can forge with pupils are exceptional.

There will be many opportunities for promotion, and we invest in the development of our staff. Our team includes a variety of friendly and welcoming teachers. Don’t think you are not good enough. We would love to hear from you. You have nothing to lose by applying.

Apply for this French Teacher position by sending your CV to Clarus Education now. You will be contacted by your personal consultant if shortlisted!

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed.

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service, and employment will be subject to references.

This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
