About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging French lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating authentic cultural materials.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster language skills, cultural awareness, and communication proficiency, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including language technology and cultural activities.
  • Assess student progress through oral presentations, written assignments, and language assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the French curriculum, integrating current linguistic trends and cultural practices, and participate in departmental planning.
  • Organize and lead language exchanges, cultural trips, and language-related activities, promoting student engagement and cultural immersion.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong French subject knowledge, including linguistics, literature, and culture.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching French to A-Level, with a focus on both language skills and cultural understanding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and linguistic skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to fostering language proficiency and cultural awareness among young women.
