French Teacher Required - Secondary School in Wandsworth A well-established secondary school in the vibrant borough of Wandsworth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher.
This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
Creating a supportive and communicative classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using the French language.
Employing a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including authentic materials and technology, to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness.
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners.
Contributing to the development and enrichment of the French curriculum and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in French or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 French curriculum.
Native or near-native fluency in French.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering students' linguistic competence and cultural understanding.
