About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging French lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive activities, cultural immersion experiences, and technology, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and resources, integrating faith-based perspectives where appropriate.
  • Foster a love of French language and culture in students, encouraging them to develop their communication skills, cultural awareness, and appreciation of diversity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and upholding the school's Catholic ethos.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in French.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and language skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
