Job summary

A leading British manufacturer is seeking a French Speaking Bookkeeper to support accounting operations for sales teams in the UK and France.   • Liaising with external accounting services provider in France for VAT and tax matters.
  • Controlling credit on outstanding invoices and reviewing banking reconciliations.

Responsibilities

French Speaking Bookkeeper
Location: North West London
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
Ref: 5481F

Main duties:
You will be offering support with administrative and accounting operations to the sales teams in both the UK and France

The role:
– Performing general bookkeeping tasks, including daily banking transactions
– Recording and maintaining transaction logs
– Following up on overdue debtors and controlling credit on outstanding invoices
– Reviewing banking reconciliations
– Liaising with the external accounting services provider in France for VAT, tax, payroll and compliance matters
– Undertaking any additional ad-hoc tasks as required
– This role is likely to evolve as the market grows so strong opportunities to progress within this role for motivated candidates

Candidate's Profile

– Fluent in both French and English
– Two years’ experience in a similar role as an Accounts Assistant, or an admin role involving accounting tasks
– Good Excel skills, as well as a previous experience of Sage and a CRM would be desirable
– Excellent communication skills at all levels
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
