Job summary

Rosewood London is seeking a skilled French Polisher to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the high-quality finish of our hotel interiors, including guest rooms and public spaces.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in French polishing and a strong eye for detail. Additional benefits include 28 days of paid holidays, a pension scheme, and complimentary room nights.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled French Polisher to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the high-quality finish and presentation of our hotel interiors, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and heart‑of‑house spaces are always kept to exceptional standards.

Key expectations of this role are

• Carry out French polishing, painting, and decorating works across guest rooms, public areas, and heart‑of‑house areas
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs
• Maintain and repair furniture, woodwork, wall coverings, and paintwork
• Support a structured planned preventative maintenance programme
• Manage and maintain stock levels of materials such as paints, lacquers, and waxes
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, efficiently and professionally
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including COSHH regulations
• Respond to maintenance requests and support emergency call‑outs where required
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless operations

Profile

• Proven experience in French polishing, decorating, or a similar field
• Strong eye for detail in delivering high-quality craftsmanship
• Good knowledge of materials, tools, and polishing techniques
