Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic French and German Teacher to join a dedicated MFL team at a vibrant school. If you're passionate about languages and want to ignite a love of French and German in young learners, we’d love to hear from you. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as French/German Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in French and/or German
2. Inspire pupils to develop a passion for language learning and intercultural understanding
3. Prepare students for internal assessments and public examinations where applicable
4. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL and SEND pupils
5. Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and extra-curricular activities (e.g., language clubs, trips)
6. Support the school’s ethos and values, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Ideal French/German Teacher:

1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Can teach French and/or German to at least KS3 (ideally KS4)
3. Is committed to high standards of teaching and learning as a French/German Teacher
4. Uses creativity and modern approaches to language teaching
5. Has strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management
6. Is reflective, organised, and keen to develop professionally
