Qualifications

  • Experienced in Sales for Ocean, Road, and Air Freight Forwarding.

  • Knowledge of Sea Freight; Air and Road Freight knowledge is a bonus.

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients.
  • Manage operations for consignments from booking to invoice.
  • Generate and follow up on sales leads.
  • Promote the business to new and existing clients.

Are you a results driven, Sales Specialist, experienced in Sales and Operations for Ocean, Road and/or Air Freight Forwarding, looking for a new role in Chelmsford? This role could be right for you!

My client is offering a fantastic package to help grow their business and Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced Sales person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder with knowledge and experience with Sea Freight. Air and Road Freight Experience would be a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent freight forwarding services.
  • Manage new and existing business, handling the operations for consignments, from booking to invoice.
  • To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  • Be the forefront of the company’s development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  • Experience and understanding of Freight Forwarding Operations.
  • Experience working for a freight forwarding company.
  • Ability to bring business would be advantageous.
