Freight Pricing Coordinator

Paying between 28,000 and 32,000 per year, depending on experience.

Based in Tamworth.

Previous experience in freight pricing is required.

We are working with a leading Freight Forwarding organisation who have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Pricing Coordinator to join their successful Tamworth branch.

The role of Freight Pricing Coordinator requires a candidate who has previously worked in the Freight Forwarding Industry and has been responsible for obtaining rates and costings, negotiating with carriers and suppliers to maximise profitability on each and every shipment.

This role will be working closely with other departments to maintain rate cards for existing clients to ensure accurate billing.

Duties will include:

  1. Maintain and update tariffs with agreed customer rates to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  2. Collaborate with other departments to streamline pricing processes.
  3. Have an understanding of market conditions and trends to develop competitive pricing strategies.
  4. Assist in developing and implementing pricing policies and procedures.
  5. Handle all customer queries related to pricing.
  6. Maintain, review and create tariffs with agreed customer rates.
  7. Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, shipping lines & overseas partners/agents.
  8. Create quotations for import, export and/or cross trade in an agreed timeframe.
  9. Confidently negotiate rates with suppliers, shipping lines and overseas partners/agents.
  10. Offer high levels of customer service to clients at all times.
  11. Resolve any pricing query or complaint and escalate if necessary.
  12. Follow up all quotations to a conclusion.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute in all aspects of Freight Operations, with experience in FCL, LCL and Air Freight.
